Steve Fye — Lead Guitar / Vocals
Originally from Atlanta, Georgia, Steve Fye began playing guitar at the age of 14 and quickly developed a passion for technically demanding rock and metal guitar. Over the years, he has performed as lead guitarist for several bands, including Decision and Rockbridge, building a reputation for energetic performances and expressive lead work. During his musical career, Steve has shared stages with artists such as The Josephines and has been featured in local radio interviews. His guitar style is heavily influenced by legendary players including Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, and Randy Rhoads. Musically, his influences span a remarkably wide spectrum — from Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky to Testament — helping shape the dynamic sound he brings to Bourbon Heavy today.
Dean Kitto — Drums / Vocals
Hailing from Bessemer, Michigan, Dean Kitto started drumming at just 11 years old and has been driven by a passion for rhythm ever since. Completely self-taught, Dean developed his skills through years of performing with numerous bands and projects. Early on, he formed bands Neon Knights and Cool Weazel with friends before joining the AC/DC tribute band Jailbreak, where he sharpened his live performance experience. During time spent living in Germany, Dean continued performing with local musicians before returning to play with the family band Last Chance alongside his brother and father for nearly a decade. He later founded Killowatt, a project that allowed him to further develop his vocal abilities in addition to his commanding drumming style. After relocating to Kentucky, Dean continued recording and performing with Firebourne. His influences include powerhouse drummers such as Tommy Lee, Tommy Aldridge, Mike Portnoy, and Neil Peart.
Dylan Compton — Bass / Vocals
The only Kentucky native in Bourbon Heavy, Dylan Compton grew up in Hiseville and has been playing bass for more than 20 years. Throughout his career, he has performed with bands including The Ghost & The Human Hoax while also pursuing independent music projects under the name “The Tombstone Kid.” Through platforms like TikTok, Dylan has built a creative outlet that includes the release of a full studio album showcasing his diverse musical influences and songwriting style. His influences range from classic and progressive rock acts like Pink Floyd to heavier and more modern artists including Korn, Dax Riggs, Yavid, and Eminem.
Alex Cassady — Lead Vocals
Bringing explosive energy and commanding stage presence to Bourbon Heavy, Alex Cassady combines 17 years as a dynamic frontman and vocalist along with 2 decades of drumming experience. His vocal style blends technical control, raw emotion, and powerful live delivery, drawing influence from some of rock and metal’s most iconic voices including Maynard James Keenan, Chris Cornell, Lajon Witherspoon, Layne Staley, Mike Patton, Scott Weiland, and Corey Taylor. Before joining Bourbon Heavy, Alex contributed to numerous bands and studio projects including Livid, Leary, Groove Grinders, Cassady Band, and several collaborative recording efforts, bringing a seasoned and versatile presence to the band’s live performances.
